I have finally arrived in ESPAÑA after a bit of a rough start. I think it was nerves that made the flights so uncomfortable, but no importa because I am in the mother country at last! When I got off the plane to see signs in Spanish, it nearly brought a tear to my eye. POR FIIIIIN! Haha actually, there were payphones and I was really tempted to call my amigo Gerard simply to say that I'm in the country. I was content just looking out the window on the busride from the airport to our hotel. All the lovely architecture and stylish little Spaniards walking about. Dinner consisted of some kind of stuffed spinach, and pollo with French fries. Seems reeeeal Spanish, doesn't it?
Tomorrow--walking tour of Madrid and exploration.
Saludos a todos!

Tomorrow, Tomorrow!
The day has finally come when I can say "I'm going to Spain tomorrow!" It only took 3 years, really.
My suitcase is more or less packed gracias a mi prima. I'm getting a bit nervous of course, but in the words of my godfather, "Good. If you weren't nervous, you'd be on drugs." That's the spirit! I said adios to some family members yesterday. Aunt Babe's hope is that I will fall in love with a nice Spanish man & forget all about punk rock. Hahaha vamos a ver.
Oh, and the blog title is supposed to be like Benny and the Jets. Pretty crazy, I know.
